WE’RE IN A PHILLY STATE OF MIND

WE’RE IN A PHILLY STATE OF MIND

While moving the office from Conshohocken to Center City Philadelphia was not without its headaches, broken furniture and sentimental memories, let’s face it… summer in Conshohocken doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as summer in the city.

Besides the outdoor beer gardens, the sky-high beer gardens and a few other beer gardens we’ve happened upon – we’ve found a few other pluses to being 718 Arch Street’s newest residents:

  • Networking made easy: While Philadelphia may not be New York City; it really feels like a city that never sleeps. The multitude of restaurants, bars and nightlife that exists in Center City Philadelphia is right at our fingertips now. Whether we want to go out after work for some “team bonding,” bring clients to a Phillies game to cheer on the home team or grab a bite to eat at a tasty Thai joint in nearby Chinatown, it’s all right here. Also, being that we are located in a major city, people are constantly coming in and out of town for business and pleasure, which makes connecting with past, present and future collaborators a breeze.
  • New Clients, New Team Members: Having our office in such a well known city certainly doesn’t hurt when it comes to recruiting; and we like to think that being in the heart of Philly makes us that much more appealing. Being in an area saturated with recent graduates and young professionals allows us to find individuals with the talent and personality perfect for DDCworks. And we know this fresh energy will be that much more attractive to the city’s business community in search of a new PR and marketing firm to help them meet their business goals. We are a part of the “city of brotherly love” – that personable element that has been added to our brand story.
  • Feeling the City Buzz: After seven years at the Conshohocken office, it was definitely time for a new look; and while the Cast Iron Building itself (built in 1868) may not be new, our executive vice president and creative director Sean Donohue certainly made our space feel it. Complete with updated paint colors, carpets and a layout that compliments the cast iron architectural elements. From day one, it was plain to see how excited everyone was to get into the office and begin working. The open areas and kitchen allow great spaces for us to have a quick meeting, catch up on Monday mornings and pop by for quick touch-bases. There is also a different kind of energy that comes with traveling to the city everyday. You pass by a variety of characters on your morning commute – the city itself always seems to be buzzing with life.

As you can see, we certainly feel we made the right move relocating from the outskirts of the city right into the thick of things. We have already felt the benefits of being where the action is, and a new office and new appreciation for what we do – and we’re ready to get to work for you!
